Re: Thinking of homeschooling

Wow. I think if you want to do it, you should. I would be hesitant to do it myself b/c in this area, there's a consensus that if you're homeschooled then there is something wrong with you. Obviously, not true, but you know kids and they can be cruel.

You have a year until it's an option anyways so I'd just keep researching it, get opinions from people doing it, and talk to your kids about it. I personally would NOT have enjoyed homeschooling even though I didn't really like school myself. I don't think your mom's opinion should factor into this at all.

My one concern is how rocky your relationship w/Chris has been and getting a job (once Andrew is in school) would allow you to start bettering yourself in case he goes off the deep end you wouldn't be left with no options and starting from scratch.

If you choose not to homeschool, I still think it's a great idea to continue to help them outside of school as if you were. Give them exposure to the topics they'll be getting into and help them learn. Maybe if you work real hard w/your daughter next summer (fit a whole year in ) she can test out of her current grade and get into the next one.
