Shannon, I think I stated before, that I am a pastor for a Calvary Chapel church. Calvary Chapel is known for going chapter by chapter and verse by verse through the Bible. It is very rare they teach topically and when they do, it is only for a week or so. If you ever wanted to check out a Calvary Chapel, I could recommend one in your area. If I could also recommend a Bible too. Chuck Smith is the one who started Calvary Chapel churches in the 60's. Where other churches were shuting the doors to the hippies and unchurched, Chuck made it a point to welcome them in. It didn't matter to him if they had no shoes, were on drugs, had not bathed in a week or a month. He welcomed anybody in who would listen to the Word of God. Many of those hippies are now Calvary pastors. Anyway, Chuck now has a Bible out with notes that explain every verse and chapter along with it's history or where it ties into other areas of scripture. I have this same Bible and use it for putting together my sermons each week. If you would like, I would be willing to get you one at my cost. I think the Bible normally sells for around $80.00-$90.00. If my memory is correct, I believe my cost is only around $55.00 or $60.00. I could get it shipped directly to your door. If your in a position where you cannot afford one (I don't know your finances) then pm Rochelle and I will make sure you get one free of charge. The Bible comes with a computer program too that goes into more detail of everything and explains a lot from the Hebrew and Greek. If you would like to sample some of the commentary, I also do an online sermon each week that also goes chapter by chapter and verse by verse. The web site is called
www.quadsforchrist.net if you go there, just click on the sermon of the week forum and you can read any of my sermons with the same notes from the Bible that Chuck put out.
I hope that helps,
God bless,
Jason
