When To Start

My daughter will need to be schooled on a British time table in case we end up going back, because if I follow the US schedule then she would be 2 years behind her peers if we went back. So we are already working on an unschooling type basis, for teaching her reading (adapting the Teaching Your Baby to Read technique) and everything else is just as she is interested.

She is doing great! But I don't intend to unschool the whole time-I think that kids need a little more structure as they get older. At this age, there should not be anything forced, it's not fair. She's just 30 months, still a baby in so many ways.

When do you think would be an appropriate age to switch to a more structured program?
