So Proud of Caleb - Yada, Yada, Yada

Caleb can swim now! It's not a real perfected swim, but a little better than a doggie paddle. I was so surprised and shocked he learned how in one day. I had a preschool teacher conference for 3 days out of town. Richard and the kids went along for a mini family vacation. While I was in my meetings during the day, Richard and the kids spent lots of time in the hotel pool, and by the end of the first day, Caleb was doing really well swimming on his own. We had a good time away by the way. This year I got to meet Raffi, the guy who sings Baby Beluga. There was an excellent children's concert Saturday morning by The Learning Station. I use a lot of their CD's in my classroom. Then we took the kids to a fun indoor play place for younger kids called Miner Mike's. I'll have pictures hopefully by the end of the week since I still don't use a digital camera.

WTG, Caleb!! That's really great.

Sounds like a fun family trip. How perfect to mix work with fun. Glad to hear the whole family got to tag along.

That's great that he did so well and picked it up so quick. Collin has been in swimming lessons once a week since mid-January, but he still has a ways to go. He's still pretty nervous in the water. He finally put his whole head under water yesterday and glided on his back and stomach with help. So he's making progress. But one day with Caleb. Wow!

Sounds like he's a natural. I cannot wait til Amaya can swim, but she is also a nervous-type. If I am not too overwhelmed by the baby (er, older two) this summer, I want to enroll her in some lessons. WTG Caleb!

That is terrific! Sounds like he is going to be a little fishy!

I wish we had a Dory smilie, so that I could say "just keep swimming, just keep swimming..."

Sounds like a great conference and how nice that the family got to tag along. Staying in a hotel is fun - for kids and adults.
