I am super excited. I have been leaning towards homeschooling the boys. We live in a no so great area for schools, heck I can say that about the entire state....we usually rank 45th-49th.

So I have been researching. I really think it is best for us. The boys are still young, but Kurt jr would be going into pre-school this year.

The only problem...DH. He is a military brat and always had a good school to go to. He would prefer if we could send the kids to private school, but since that is not financially feasible now, we need to discuss further options.

So I finally was able to get him to consider homeschooling as our best option. We are going to our first WHO inc(Westbank Homeschool Org, INC) tuesday night.

Yay! for you I think you will find it very rewarding!! My oldest is 8 1/2 yrs and most days I love it!!

Stephanie, how did the meeting go? That's awesome that your DH came around and you're going to start. I can't wait to hear how pre-school goes for you- we're planning to do the same (Ben's only 13 months, so we have a while). Please post any tips/tricks for pre-school that you find!

Well the meeting was great.

funny thing, It started pouring on the way so when we got there we looked like drowned rats!

The meeting was full of normal families, not that I expected differently, Dh did...lol

We signed up and are now official members of WHO. Our first fieldtrip with them is at the end of the month. Kurt jr even got to do a craft at the meeting last night. A strawberry plant kit.

homeschooling preschoolers is sooo rewarding , they ae so eager to learn...my 12 year old is another storyLOL ,its great with him most days too.enjoy !
