    Angry 1st day on bedrest with no help and I'm going nuts already

    My parents who usually live 2 doors down from me are away for 5 weeks with my sister cause she just had a baby.

    My 17 yr old SIL(dh's lil sis) was suppossed to come over today and 3:30 after school to help me out until DH got home at 6:30 from work...well its 5:00pm and I call her house wondering where the h*ll she is. She says, oh me and my friend went to the mall but I'm coming over now. I said not to bother cause she probably had homework and Dh would be home in an hour...I was peeved. I said it's fine if she can't come I dont' want to infringe on her life, but CALL me if she isn't coming. I was going to have a bath and lay down while she looked after Nyla and was going to have her take the dog out.....grrrrrrr.

    I am cramping so bad today, I called my pharmacy and am getting them to deliver some of my pain meds and sleeping pills so I can at least sleep today.

    Oh and Nyla didn't have an afternoon nap so I am exhausted.

    Luckily my MIL cooked some yummy Fillipino food that DH will pick up from her house on his way home so I don't have to worry about cooking supper.

    Oh and I am bored to tears already and poor Nyla is bored too...Luckily she is such a good girl and hasn't givenme trouble today at all. She just seems bored.
    I think I'll ask my one friend who has a 4 yr old and lives close by to come over tomorrow afternoon.

    Day 1 of 28 weeks.....AHHHHHHHHHHH

    Ahhhh Tanya...I'm sorry you had a boring blah day!

    I hope the days get better! Maybe you can do some arts and crafts type of stuff with Nyla? That way you dont have to be super active to participate but she won't be so bored?

    Ughh, sounds like your half way to the nut house , but try to get some coloring stuff DD loves it i have a table that i unfold the one legs and put pillows etc on the other side so i can sit in bed and do scrapbooking while she colors it works out great besides when she wants to color my scrapbooking lol so i have some added color, did you go to church or anything?? i know they help out people or maybe a daycare that is cheep like a church day care, ummm friends with kids to come over with play dates, a chair in the living room that reclines, so you can watch DD play and she can watch tv or something?? Reading to her in bed, turning on the radio and letting her dance?? Getting some movies that you don't mind watching with her? umm thats all the idea's i have at the moment but i hope the weeks fly by and that everything works out okay hang in there i would be going nuts if i was on berest with a 2 year old shakes head i can't imagine. hugzzz get some rest!!

    awww thanks guys. I am going to be planning to have some friends comeover for afternoon play dates with their kids around Nyla's age....justto have some adult conversation. And when my MILis off work she is going to take her, but that's maybe only once every 2 weeks....I'll get by. I just gotta plan activities...lots of crafts.

    That stinks. I feel for you. It is esp. hard with a 2.5 yo, this I know. I was on bedrest with my last one, but near the end, it sucked so bad & I was so bored & restless. I hope you get some help & relief soon!

    I am so sorry! Bedrest is the pits!

    I have my next OB appointment tomorrow & I'm afraid he will put me on bed rest.

    I'm being watched closely right now & I've been told to "take it easy." That is fine so long as I don't have to be on true "bedrest."
