GORGEOUS !!!!
I love taking nature shots (in between shots of my little cutie) and would love some CC to help me get better. I'm not going to add my settings for the first 3 because they were taken with my old camera, but the rest will have my settings. So, what do you think?

GORGEOUS !!!!
"People demand freedom of speech
to make up for the freedom of thought
which they avoid"
ok...here goes....
1. I would love to see that one with the TV manipulated more, to create the gentle flow of the water, instead of the harsh choppiness.
2. beautiful, but i am drooling to play with this...it needs more saturation, more contrast, but good composition. You could do a lot with this one.
3. doesn't hold my attention much
4. doesn't hold my attention much...maybe if it had more pop with color? the sign is distracting and the water is boring.
5. NICE...would LOVE to see in a strong BW.
6. I like the idea, but i do not care for hte composition. the stuff on the left is a distraction, but if you cropped it out there would not be enough trees. It also needs some work with saturation and contrast, and maybe an USM
7. i love storm pics. I would crop out the grass, with the foreground of hte trees framing the bottom of the pic and of course saturate and USM...cause i do that to everything
8. Nice colors...Next time use the tree more to the left...so it is in the left third of your pic, including most of the branches. YOu have the trunk running right down the first 3rd of the pic, but the branches kinda take over.
9. doesn't hold my interest
10. love it! hate that man paved and put up lights, but love the pic.
11. the leaf on the left is more in focus than the large leaf on the right. I'm not sure I like where the focus fell.
12. the pole needs to be cloned out, and then with saturation/contrast/usm i think it would be really pretty
13/14...like the BW much more than the color!
whew. i'm tired now! Those are really good for sooc!

Tracey, thanks so much for the CC. Now for the PP can you explain what you would do with contrast/saturation, as well as what is a USM and what does it do? lol, I love taking pics but I never really PP though I want to start learning! Oh and I have both PSP XI and PS CS2 I just haven't taken the time to learn to do more than blinkies, siggies, and storyboards![]()

well i don't have a clue when it comes to PSP! and I have Photoshop Elements cause I'm just a poor teacher =P
to make my colors pop I go enhance, then saturation/contrast...and just move it around
USM is unsharp mask... It just seems to make things POP slightly.
I also have an action i bought for 6 bucks from ezactions.com it is really helpful and has saved a lot of my pics. I like vibrant stuff though. I have to be careful not to oversharpen or oversaturate!

To me theyr'e absolutley gorgeous! Well done!
i hope you don't mind...these 2 were screaming at me!!!
in this one the biggest change came from the crop. I cropped out the grass and the pic just changed...i then saturated, played with the hue (kept uping the blue) and did an unsharp mask, level 1, 40%.
this is just added saturationa and decrease in blue hue in all three levels of light, the highlights, midtones, and shadows (i think that's what it's called). I love this pic...i want to go to canada now!
let me know if you hate me :P or want me to take them down
tracey
Of course I don't hate you! I love the first one! It's so gorgeous, your changes make quite the difference. For the second, yours is a bit more saturated than I personally like so I changed the saturation and contrast, added USM and this is what I came out with.
Thanks so much for telling me what you do, this is going to help my pics so much!!

LOL, with yours if I showed it to anyone around here they would know it was retouched - trees that colour are beautiful but not natural!
I also re-did the leaf one:
Between starting to learn about PP and the photog course in January, my pics are going to really start popping! Thanks Tracey

Hey those are great shots!
I love taking pix of bridges and trails as well.
You have a really good eye. I think the photos that Tracy edited did a great job and the pix were beautiful before but now they pop!
I don't have any photo editors on my puter at the moment wish I did because I love nature shots too. Great work!
you have great composition in these.
great edits too.
