She is going tommorow!!
How exciting!! Haley wants to go so bad! But the weather here is sucking big time! She has been to the lake, and had a great time.![]()
No beach here unless we find a good lake. And that doesn't really count. So Owen has never been. But he would probably like it because he loves the sandbox!
Heat indices of 109+. It's pretty hot. But the air off the water should be much cooler. I would love to take Graham to the beach (IL's live in CC, Nat'l Seashore is another 45 minutes south), but funds are tight and a day trip is out of the question when eight hours would be spent in the car.
we are leaving not this coming monday but the next monday to galveston texas to take our kids to the beach, it will be our kids 1st time to the beach , im so excited we are driving tho.. next year we plan to take them to orange beach and then the next to panama beach.. we got lots of beaches planned to go to for every summer.. goodluck and have fun !
The first time I took D.J. he wasn't quiet one yet. He didn't like it at first, but then my mom took him in and sat down in the shallow part with him. Gave him some old cups and let him dump it on her. After that he LOVED it! He cried when we had to leave. He still loves it.
Both kids went when they were 6 months old. Then again after they turned 1. Both of them LOVED it. They were a little scared of the crashing waves at first, but quickly got over that. We always took a float so they could ride the waves, they thought that was super fun. I'm sure she'll have a blast.
all the time ... we try to head out there in the morning them go back in the evening while the sun is cooler and the crowd is lighter!
my kids love it there but are very familiar with it ...normally once kids get used to the textures(sand, salty water) they love it

Haillie went last year and she loves the sand, but not so much the water. The water was too rough for her in Rockaway so she just wanted to get her feet wet and play in the sand. When we went to a lake for her birthday she liked "swimming" in that water because it was warm with no waves.
Mama to Lisette(10), Chris(8), Haillie(4)
& Vanessa Katie born 10/23!
Looks like she had fun Andrea!
It's sad, I live about 10 minutes from Boca Grande Beach and 10-15 to our town beach and we rarely go. The first time Brooke went, she didn't really care for it. Now she loves it. She went yesterday with her Grandma. I haven't take Ashlyn except at night once. I plan to go this summer with the girls quite a bit seeing it's close and free!
We don't have a beach. Anywhere. We do have a pool though LOL Hopefully we'll be taking advantage of that today! There's a lake down the road but swimming in lakes gives me the heebie-jeebies, especially one people fish in on a regular basis.
