    joseph met his new peditrician/well baby check-up

    joseph met his new peditrician today w/ his big sissy as well.. i was getting so much hell from the last pedi office that i needed to find the kids a new peditrician and finally i found a FANTASTIC one that i absolutely love.. this pedi office is wonderful, the nurses are friendly they laugh talk to ya.. and the doctor is excellent as well.. he played wth joseph and his sister before even examining them... of course asked me if i still had hypertension and i told him no i only had that with my pregnancies.. thank goodness i dont got it anymore.. but both my kids were born full-term at 38 weeks.. he asked about joseph's birthweight and length i told him .. he was bigger than his sister and is now at his weight now.. whenever leona was 5 1/2 months she wasnt the weight he is now.. joseph weighed in at 17.3 1/2 lbs. and is 26 1/4 inches. yep he's very tall.. LOL.. just like his daddy ! that figures ! but he told me that everything that im doing im doing great with it, he told after he turns 6 months i can try meat babyfood on him .. i told him awesome i just wanted to make sure first .. he said his formula intake is awesome and the amount of bottles he is taking a day is great.. since he is eating babyfood a lot more now he should start taking less of bottles, which he is.. he takes about 2-3 bottles a day now.. he is up to date on his shots as well.. he goes back on the 6th of march for his 6 months shots.. i told dr. bhargava about his heart mur-mur as well that he was diganosed with once he was born, he goes back to his heart doctor for that on march the 12th to get another ultrasound and see if its still there, which i know that it is because they heard it today listening to his heart and i was a bit disappointed i guess because i was getting my hopes up that it would leave and go away but now that i know that they heard it doesnt look like its gonna leave.. but we will see next month when he goes to see his heart doctor.. dr. bhargava put joseph on his belly to see how far he would hold his head up and see if he could grab or reach for anything he tried but he just wouldnt move that arm to get that paci of his .. he sat him up on his butt and he sat for a second and then fell over.. LOL.. the nurse told me from the way that his sister is talking he will take up very fast learning to talk plus walk as well.. he will be mobile sooner than his sister was.. i said i dont want that.. he is my last baby lets keep him small for as long as possible.. LOL.. anyways thats mainly about it for joseph for today.. he didnt get no shots.. he will next month.. after he turns 6 months.. im just glad that we finally have a peditrician now that interacts with the kids and gives them stickers and plays with them, i really believe joseph and his big sister are gonna really enjoy this peditrician.. if you've gotten this far, bless you.. thanks !

    I am so sorry about the heart murmur not healing itself. I am glad that you were able to talk with the new pediatrician and get to know them. It is really so much easier for the kids when the doctors are actually personable. I am so glad they have a great doc now.

    That is great news!! It sucks having a pedi who could care less about interacting with the kids. Glad to hear you really like him and the kids seem to like him..that is very important. Wow I can't believe Joseph and Rufus are the same weight...and Ru is 10 months old...lol.

    thanks so much ladies.. joseph went back to his pedi like a week after the well baby checkup because he was still sick and the meds i was giving him was just not working so i decided to go ahead and take him on to the doctor.. he put him on some antibiotics and he prescribed some cream as well for joseph for the ezema on his stomach.. the cream i hope works because the ezema still seems to be there maybe it will take awhile or something but he finally sleeps much better at night now.. thank godoness
