    East Texas/Red River??

    I need to know any info on this area of Tx. I have lived in El Paso, and I'm assuming it's very different (climate especially). Has anyone ever lived in this area or traveled through this area? Thanks for any help. Sorry to be so vague.

    I dont know a lot about either. My grandparents lived in East TX for years though. Not sure exactly what youre looking for so, PM me if I can give you any specific info.

    candice, i want to know what's it like econonmically and climate wise mainly. What are the public schools like? Do you know where Red River is? Where would be a good place to live if *someone* worked in Red River?

    Well, I'm not sure because that is about 90 miles north of where I live. Do you know which school district? I work for a computer company and we service many school districts one of them being Clarksville ISD, which is the county seat of Red River County. If thats the school district then I can get some info. about the school for you through the sales rep. that handles that school.

    Right now we live in Longview, but in the next 2 or 3 years we are going to be moving closer to where I grew up. I am more of a "country" girl and sometimes Longview just feels too big to me.

    michael has a *potential* job offer that would put us in Red River 1 year, then relocating back to Hunstville. He is looking into something other than education. I will be teaching, but would love to do something part-time, but not a daycare. Maybe a private Christian preschool?
