    Gifts from my in-laws

He got a card with a check in it from his Grandpa. It's a cute card but it's covered in glitter so glitter got everywhere on the check, on the envelope, and all of my hands. I think I going to have to give my father in-law some hell for that.

He got a Winnie the Pooh card with $2 in it from his Great-Nana, my father in-law’s mother. I have never met her but Brian says she's a very sweet lady. She seems like it from the cards she always sends. The $2 is actually a lot coming from her because she doesn’t have very much money.

Though the best gift he got from my in-laws was a college fund from his Grandma and Great-Grandma. I don't know how much they put in it but they are going to keep adding to it as he gets older. He also got an actually gift from his Great-Grandma, it kinda tied in with the college fund, it’s a porcelain piggy bank. I think it's a really nice gift. Here’s a pic of it.

and here's the box it came in.

It plays “Happy Birthday” when you take off the lid, needless to say, we let him play with the box and not the piggy bank, that’s in a nice safe place. The box, when it’s play with, is actually educational. It probably isn’t meant to be but it is, it teaches him cause and effect. He learns that if he take off the lid he get to hear the song.

Oh, I almost forgot, he also got $30 from his Grandma Colleen. She’s not actually related to us, she’s Brian ex-step mother but she basically raised him so she feels like Brian is her son. Which is cool with us. She’s much nicer to him now then she was when he was growing up. I guess she's making things up to him. Anyways, the reason I keep forgetting about it is because she sent it along with the Christmas money and it been sitting in our savings account ever since. I’m not sure what were going to do with it but now we can spend it on the little guy. Yay! I was going to go do that today but the mister(DS) is feel yucky so I'll go another day.
