    New camera+zoo=photo overload

    We finally got a passable day to get out, so we headed for the zoo so I could play with my new camera and lens (Tamron 70-300)! I'm still figuring a lot out, but I am so excited to be able to get close to the animals (they don't appear so in the pictures, but are a long way off). It doesn't hurt to catch my kids from afar when they don't know I'm taking pictures, either. These are big improvements over all of my previous zoo pictures. I can't wait to find time to study my manual so I can learn more.....thanks for letting me share.

    The baby elephant is soooo sweet. The kids love it. We are very lucky to have a zoo with an elephant reproduction program. There aren't many baby elephants around!

    Rebel xTi I had a 35mm slr and a point/shoot digital. I am giving them both up, because this one does it all! (Dh encouraged me to go hog wild with the tax refund for once because I NEVER spend money on myself..........)
