Easter Baskets/gifts

Was wondering what kind of Easter baskets you all have for the kids?
Need to get one for Emma & was looking at the PotteryBarn baskets with the liners you can get their names on... Does anyone have that basket, is it worth the $$?

For our family Easter Egg hunt at our relatives, the kids use plastic buckets to collect the eggs.

I'm looking for a nice basket to use here at the house as the one they wake up to to hold their treats from the Easter Bunny.

We've used a race car one for our son these past years but now with Emma, I was letting myself get wow-ed by the pretty girlie baskets in the PB catalog

What do you all use as Easter Baskets? And besides candy, do you buy gifts/toys as well?

Thanks!!

Re: Easter Baskets/gifts

We have an Elmo bunny basket we bought last year and plan to use again this year. I will give him a couple small toys. There is a Easter Mr. Potato Head I want to get and some sidewalk chalk. Then I will probably give him some fruit snacks and one indulgent doesnt ever get thing. M&Ms maybe...we'll see.

Re: Easter Baskets/gifts

We have just a plain woven basket from Walmart that we used last year. I don't see a need to buy a new one every year.

This year, we got some sand toys, hair barretts, and a Dora plate/bowl/utensil combo for her. She doesn't eat candy, so that's pointless. I might get some socks to stick in some plastic eggs too, and I want to get her some kind of animal book, and some little plastic animals.

Re: Easter Baskets/gifts

I have different sports ball shaped baskets for my 3 boys. We do candy as well as a few small gifts and maybe an outfit or something. Not too much.

Re: Easter Baskets/gifts

I got Hannah a personalized Easter basket, I think it was from Lillian Vernon but I looked on their site and couldn't find it, so I'm not sure if that's right.
Here is a picture from last year:

To go in her basket I got her an Easter My Little Pony, a play doh set, a couple of Little People that come in Eggs, and then we're getting her a sandbox so I got her a couple of sandbox toys.

Re: Easter Baskets/gifts

I picked up a cute basket from Target for 10.00. Its a brown wide woven thing (not exactly sure what its called) and then it has a easterish liner that can be used for a while. This is close but not exact. http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html...sin=B000JBZH08

as for whats going in it... I got him the Fisher-price Doddle pro travel size, I found some egg shapped sidewalk chalk in the 1.00 section of target (gotta love that area!) and then I am looking for an animal book for his little touch leap pad yet. Lastly there will be some chocolate that I special ordered for him that doesnt have milk in it. Hopefully he like them!

Re: Easter Baskets/gifts

well we will probably just use a basket we have from last year. What I hope to put in it is some puzzles, books, some tubes of mini m&ms and maybe a couple small toys. I also saw one of those little 12" bikes that I would absolutely love to get her but I might wait on that till her bday.
