Awww....*sniff.* Your genuine love for your students shows. Hugs girl!!
what a bittersweet day. I hugged all my kids and talked to them each for a couple of minutes of what i thought about them, the dreams i have for them, how much i care for them. It is so hard to let them go into the unknown. They are ready for the next grade, but gosh this is always sooo hard.
if you are wondering what to give your child's teacher as a gift...i got a great one today. It was a tiny picture, matted. the picture was just glued to the back of the frame. The little boy had drawn a little picture of the 2 of us with skinny markers, and wrote my name, his name, and "Is CrEm" aka ice cream, and given us both ice cream. He made mine pink, he remembered strawberry was my favorite. I will keep that forever.
Just sharing!

What a fabulous teacher you are, Miss Tracey!! I love ya, girl!
i teach preK and most of them don't remember me, or if they do, they barely do...but that's ok. I remember all themI'm already praying for next year's kids. I had a wonderful group of kids, all 20 were wonderful, and mostly good parents
...some parents I"m very attached to and will miss dearly. We were all in tears today.
and I'm not really a wonderful teacher, well no more wonderful than most I know. but thanks for the compliments. I really just wanted to brag on my students...one last time.

Tracey don't kid yourself. I remember my Kindergarten teacher, her name was Mrs. Ross, and it was the last year she taught. She helped me tie my shoes, she was wonderful. I'm sure that a lot of them will remember you.
How sweet, Tracey. It must be so hard to give them up at the end of the year.

Don't let Tracey fool you! She IS a wonderful teacher. I had a friend who was bragging on her last night about the wonderful pictures she did this year for Mother's Day and how her daughter (S.S.) has loved every single minute of Pre-K. Another girl asked how could she get Tracey as her son's teacher in a couple of years b/c she'd only heard good about her.
Who do you think Jack will be with when he's in school?
Dang it, Tracey, you must've had a fabulous mentor!![]()

Happy first day of Summer Vacation!
Your kids will remember you. I remember my nursery school teachers and kindergarten teacher more than the ones I had after them. They are the ones who molded me into a person who loves learning and wanted to become a teacher myself. Those early years are critical and you make such a difference.
That is an awesome gift! I can see why you'd treasure it always.

I am hoping for a pre-k teacher as fabulous as you are for Harry next year! It will be hard to top this year's teacher, Ms. Joni, I think she's a lot like you! She is incredible. We went for a pizza party Thursday on Harry's last day of preschool, and Ms. Joni cried, too. I know you have a major impact on the lives of those little ones!
that's right, sara was my mentor teacher, and she is the BAR at our school.I would love a class full of S.Ss....nah...i love the mischevious little boys, the bossy little girls, the whole mix!
and sara-mrs. frank gave me all her teacher sweaters. ACK! they are right up your alley, not me AT ALL, but she had big puppy dog eyes when she gave them to me and said it was a way for part of her to continue on in our school. how sweet is that!

That is so sweet! She is a such a nice person and I am so glad that she is retiring but still passing on her legacy, kwim? I want to look and act just like her when I am ready to retire.
As far as the bar, the only bar that you will ever compete with me for is the one where the margaritas are! You da' bomb, Miz. Twacey!
Lunch on Tuesday? I would say Monday but I am moving, so I doubt I'll take the time to go out.
