    Funny "period" story

    So...my daughter got her period a few months ago, and she asked me the other day to show her how to use a tampon since her flow is REALLY heavy lately.
    So I get one out and give her a once over....the basics like in health class...you know?
    She looks at me and says
    "Oh no, I am NEVER doing that!"

    I just thought that was Hilarious!

    On the other hand, I am not ready for that How old is your daughter? My oldest Sydnee will be 11 next Friday on the 13th and I have been expecting AF any time now.

    Looking back now, yea it was really young. When I started it was bad. I'd go right though a pad within no time. My mom took me to get looked at and it was nothing. So, I had to use a pad and a tampon . It really sucked. I don't think I'll do that when/if I have a daughter.

    My mom always told me to stay away from tampons, but since she said that, I wanted to try. I got a junior and it hurt like hell. I didn't start using tampons for real until I was in college. I didn't get AF until I was 13 or 14 though.

    Haha, quite a reaction!! XD I can just imagine the conversation. I actually agree though; I prefer pads because I still find the whole tampon business pretty weird. :P

    Kasey, that must have hurt like a mofo!!!! I tried my Mom's roommates tampons when I started.My mom had a hysterectomy when she was 25, so no periods for her. I hid in her bathroom and read the instructions...of course I decided to try them when I wasn't on my period. YEOUCH!!!!

    Oh no. Poor thing. I didn't start wearing tampons till I was 16 or so. Now, I cannot wear a pad at all!
