Creepy Neighbors? - Yada, Yada, Yada

Do you have any neighbors that are unusual, creepy, or just down right weird?

Most of the people who live around us are retired or close to it, but we have a couple our age next door who have two boys - 11 and 4. The dad is WEIRD. He has only had a few jobs since we have lived next to them in the last four and a half years. His wife works as a radiology tech as the hospital. He stays home. He doesn't keep his youngest, they have pretty new vehichles, he has a boat, and at one time he had our cleaning lady clean his home.

We always thought he was strange until Mrs. Liz, our cleaning lady, told us more about him. She said that when she would clean, around 10am, he would sit with his sunglasses on, drinking beer, and would just stare at her. She went twice and was so creeped out that she told him she had too many houses to clean and couldn't go back.

Last spring the oldest told me that his parents were getting a divorce. I thought that was great for the boys. We hadn't seen him outside in a while anyway so we thought he might have moved out of the house. Well, he's still there. We didn't see him most of the spring and then in the summer he started to appear outside on occasion. He used to be sort of overweight and looked pretty normal. Now he wears sunglasses most of the time, has a huge earring, and is SKINNY. He usually is only outside in the early morning or at night.

One day we pulled up in the driveway and he thought I was alone in dh's truck. He started to walk over and when he saw Darrell he said "oh, I thought you were alone" and acted real shocked. Then he started to just chit-chat.

The weird stories could go on, but this is getting too long as it is.

We keep our distance. I feel for his boys and they are welcome to play in our backyard when we are there, but we won't let Darren go over there. Luckily they have never asked why.

So, who is your strange neighbor? What makes them freaky?

well there is stephanie...the one that didnt talk to me for 5 months...well she aint talking to me again for some reason...it has been 2 weeks...

other than that i cant think of any...well there is the family that lets their 3 and 8 yr old play outside alone as well as another family that has 5 kids that go off on their own....

(we did have a unregistered sex offender in our neighborhood i had heard, living in this drug house that is now for sale but not sure if it was true...they were using meth i heard)

there is one lady that wont shut up. lol

your neighbor sounds wierd for sure. i would definetly NOT let Darren go over there...i hope he moves soon...

We just had a young couple move into the apt next door. We live in old base housing so the walls are pretty thin. Our bedrooms share a wall and they are always up in their bedroom-not having sex-but watching tv with the volume way up, this goes on everynight until 2 or 3 a.m. They have it so loud they have to talk over it. I bang on the walls and they won't shut up. Lastnight they vacuumed the bedroom at midnight! Our property management sucks so they won't do a damn thing about it. DH came into the apt giggling yesterday, he said the woman looks like she's pregnant so hopefully they will go to bed! The people on the other side throw trash in our yard and stare at me when I hang cloth diapers out on my clothes line. I WANT TO MOVE TO TEXAS AND OFF THIS ISLAND!!!!!

YES!!!!! I have about 3 weird neighbors. Not bad like child molester type of weird but just the comlpaining and constantly calling the association and cops for the STUPIDEST reasons type of weird.

My neighbors arent creepy just weird.. lol but i do have to share this story.

Right after my dad got remarried we moved into our new house. Well the lady that lived behind us was sooo nosey! I mean bad. So anyway the people we bought the house from were just gross we had sooooo much garbage behind our garage and they left it so my dad dug a HUGE deep hole and threw anything in there. LOL my mom changed her work schudle and the lady asked her hubby, Have you seen the wife that lives in that house and he told her that my dad killed her and buried her in the hole. lol so she started minding her own. Till one day she saw my mom and realized her hubby was lying. BUT she wasnt watching our every move after that one lol

In front of us (across our tiny street) is a rent house...people are in and out....and I swear everyone that has ever lived there is WEIRD! Like the ones that live their now....weird people...they never never never leave the house and they sit on their front porch all night drinking beer every night...you can just look at them and get freaky vibes.

I only know one neighbor and he did our landscaping...so when I see him now and then he tells me the neighborhood gossip. lol
He recently got the poop beat out of him in our alley by our garbage man's sons(they are older) because he reported the garbage man for picking up the trash too early(the truck is so loud it rattles the windows on my house) My neighbor was in the hospital, lost some teeth, had to have surgery...he got beat up pretty badly and he is sueing them, and they live a few doors down from him!!

Nobody ever bothers us, though, thankfully. I don't really have the urge to get to know any of our neighbors.

I have a neighbor that likes to cross dress and he is an alcoholic. He actually will go out the house dressed up as a woman. It is nasty. His wife is very ill, she has hospice nurse's coming in once a week. They also have a 9 year old daughter that sees this. He tells his daughter that he is doing plays that is why he dresses up as a woman.As a matter of fact this past sunday he dressed that way at my parents house. Even if he is not dressed like a woman on some days he still wears make and sometimes it looks like he is wearing a pair of womans jeans.. He is a very weird guy but nice, I don't associate with him too much. I do feel bad for the daughter and wife. I have the daughter over alot she plays with my daughter and I will not let her go over there. If I do let her go she comes back smelling of really bad cigerrate smoke and to get something. I take their daughter to school everyday. I know that when she grows up their will be some issues she will have to deal with.

We have one neighbor who will be drunk at 10 in the morning! and she'll blast out her radio to some pink floyd or something to that effect...lol she's never talked to us and we've lived in our house for 3 years. She does sit out on her porch and scream at her dogs too when they're outside...LOL guess it's not too weird but kinda funny.

We are pretty lucky that everyone on our street is as normal as normal gets. BUT I live in what's considered "the bubble" of Utah. LOL

We just got pretty lucky living here.

In LA when we lived with my IL's there was a woman who was odd and would talk to herself constantly when she was outisde and her brother who she lived with shot himself in the house. Major depression I think

Yea, it was pretty funny when we found out. The neighbors hubby told us. It was SOOOO bad. We would be doing something outside and she would litearly have her arms over the fence watching us. She was NUTS! lol.

Ann--that guy sounds like a creep! My guess is drugs...but who knows.

We have really nice neighbors for the most part...just some annoyances. The two teenage boy who live next to us would play basketball 24 hours a day if they could. We've set a rule that they can't play after 10pm at night. Their b-ball goal is right next to our bedroom. However--the other night they were playing at 12:15. I had to hang out of our bedroom window and tell them to cut it out! They also drive my husband crazy by riding their bikes through our yard to get to their house...they were wearing a groove in the grass. Let's see...they also completely obliterated the grass in their background and kicked up a huge duststorm by doing donuts with a go-cart. My husband has talked to the mother and boys, but gets major attitude from the boys. I'm just trying to be patient. I figure they will be out of the house in about 3-4 years. I'm contemplating planting a fast-growing hedge between our houses.

There are also the people who let their just-turned-6-yr-old daughter wander all over the neighborhood without any supervision. These people just moved here and haven't met any of the people their daughter is visiting. She goes to houses far down the street from hers and asks if she can come in for dinner...stuff like that. Crazy.

WE HAVE WEIRD NEIGHBORS FOR SURE HERE, THE LADY ACROSS THE STREET IS SO NOSEY AND IS CONSTANTLY WATCHING EVERYTHING, SHE CAN TELL YOU EXACTLY WHAT TIME WE COME AND GO. WHEN WERE GETTTING READY TO MOVE IN WE CALLED AN AC GUY TO COME FIX THE AC WELL HE GOT TO THE HOUSE BEFORE US AND SHE DIDNT RECOGNIZE HIS VEHICLE (IT HAD A BUSINESS NAME ON THE VAN) SO SHE CALLED THE POLICE ON HIM
OUT OTHER NEIGHBORS ARE REALLY WEIRD ALSO SO WE DONT TALK TO ANY OF THEM

I could write a book about my neighbor.
We live on a dirt road that is about 30 acres and only 3 houses. We are in the middle and the guy behind us is weird. Let's see, He doesn't take a hot shower till Feb, he goes into the woods and picks the beetles off the leaves and puts them in a bucket of water, he calls my husband the minute he gets home from work, I swear he stands in his driveway till hubby gets home then as soon as he hears the car door calls our house,( I call him my husbands stalker), he mowes our lawn at 8pm, knowing I'm putting my son to bed, waits till it's pouring down rain to clean out the cutters, Oh and he doesn't work so he is home all day long and it freaks me out knowing he is around here. I feel like he is watching us all the time. Did I mention he is our landlord?
I could tell you so much more but I think I'll stop for not.
