What's your favorite food at Thanksgiving? What's your least favorite?

I always look forward to Thanksgiving because of the sweet potatoes with the marshmallows on top! My mom would always stick it under the broiler so the marshmallows get all crispy on the top and so soft and yummpy on the inside!! I have gotten pretty good at doing it myself. She also makes a killer green bean casserole, which I have started making year round so its no longer my Thanksgiving favorite lol.

My least favorite food at Thanksgiving is cranberry sauce. I just hate them any way they are made, for some reason.

What are your favorites and dislikes?

Re: What's your favorite food at Thanksgiving? What's your least favorite?

I don't really hate any food on Thanksgiving. Because i am making stuff I like! LOL. I guess if I had to eliminate something, it would be the cranberry sauce. I eat a little but I could live without it, too.

I love stuffing and mashed potatoes!!! And homemade rolls, and..oh ok, I love food!

Re: What's your favorite food at Thanksgiving? What's your least favorite?

Oh my gosh Tina...your a sweet potato w/broiled marshmellows freak too??? I will eat the whole dish if I could, everyone thinks i'm so nasty for loading it up the way i do on my plate but I eat EVERY last bite!!!! It's the BEST. Have you ever had sweet potato pie? The other thing I love is the fresh homemade rolls RIGHT OUT the oven...mmmm so good.

My least favorite is stuffing, I can't stand the smell or the taste. I hate putting it in the turkey because to me it makes the turkey taste just like it and I have to pick around the meat to find a perfect piece. But just because I am the only one who doesn't like it i'm not gonna let everyone else suffer by not putting it in there. Then once I get my piece of meat i just put sweetpotatoes on it anyways!!! LOL.

Re: What's your favorite food at Thanksgiving? What's your least favorite?

Missy, I totally know what you mean!!! I'm a picky eater too and I hate ANYTHING crunchy in my food especially celery and onions. I about cringe when I take a bit of something that I don't know there's onions or something along those lines, I spit it out immediately and take a drink.

Re: What's your favorite food at Thanksgiving? What's your least favorite?

I love the turkey and mashed potatoes with turkey gravy. I am not too big of stuffing but I will eat a little. I dont really have a least favorite. If we make Thanksgiving dinner we normally make what we know we are going to eat. When we went over to my step-grandma's house I would just eat what I knew I was going to like.

My favorite is dressing. It's one of those things my mil only makes at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

My least favorite would have to be this gelatin salad my gmil makes, ewwww.

I can't think of any food that I dislike at Thanksgiving. My favorite dish would have to be sweet potato casserole--yummy!

Re: What's your favorite food at Thanksgiving? What's your least favorite?

Favorites--mashed potatoes and beehive butter rolls (rolled out, butter brushed on all over, then rolled up and tied off to make individual butter-filled rolls)

Can you say starch?!

Least favorite--almost anything cranberry, although I love cranberry sorbet. Our recipe for that has tons of sugar in it, so it doesn't really count, though!

Re: What's your favorite food at Thanksgiving? What's your least favorite?

I love;
Turkey dipped in my cranberry sauce or gravy. I usually alternate.
Stuffing with or without gravy. Out of the bird is the best.
Pumpkin pie or pumpkin torte.
Candied yams; yams burned in brown sugar...just like candy, mmm.

Could do without;
Mashed potatoes (don't like real).
Casseroles, such as green bean casserole.
