Thread: Can I yell here??

OK first a bit of back ground to get everyone up to speed... I work for my Aunt, well the lady that just married my Uncle about 5 years ago. And for our Christmas party we were asked to bring in a picture of us when we were babies or younger. BUT no one would say what they were going to be used for. NO biggy right. I was bringing my mom with me because she is a great sport. So we went looking through pictures and found a cute one of me, her and then this one of my moms whole family... which of course included my Uncle. *sidenote my uncle lived in UT at the time and my oldest Aunt lived in CA... and my mom in the BH during the time of this pic* SOOOOOOOOOOO ok, we didn't know if my Uncle had any of his pictures around, as he had a bad divorce and things like that men tend to forget. SO my mom and I sent this picture of her family with. FUN!

Now, before I would turn in these pictures I made sure that we were getting them back. Yep Yep Yep. OK cool, I put my name on the envelope and the names of the people in the pictures. All is well.

Skipping a few weeks to last night at the Christmas party! We come in and they have a board with everyones pictures, and numbers. You need to guess who is who. OHHHH HOW FUN!!! Plus a $50 prize makes it good too. Now mom and I are going through, finding people and putting the names on our sheet. Come to the one of my Uncle, and its cropped. NO biggy, they made a copy right.... WRONG... THEY CUT the picture. A 30 year old picture, which was before my Gpa got very very sick, the CUT the family out of it for the picture of my UNCLE! NOW, NO ONE asked me if they could cut the picture. They asked my Aunt, she said yes. WHAT THE! It wasn't HER picture.

What was said... My mom asked, "you made a copy right?" Susan (the aunt) said "nope" So my mom goes to explain that this is a priceless picture... Susan says "well you shouldn't have sent it if you wanted it back" So a big gulp of air later, we went to chit chat with others.

Found out that Susan was the one who gave permission, and that a few people were not happy that they cut a picture. AND well I guess they still have the pieces of the picture. (we will see). I am going to point out that I was told that we were getting these back. And that no one would say what they were using them for, and figured that it was safe!!!

Im so mad! Im really wanting to yell!!!! HOW dare a person disrespect my MOTHER of all people. She is hurt, and so am I. Hopefully the pieces will all be there so we can scan it together, but we will never have the orginal again.

I want to say something but my mom has asked me not to because it would just make tension in the office and well kinda ruin Christmas when we see them. But I DOUBT like hell we will be attending any functions that Susan is putting on anymore.

And maybe all this fuss over a picture is stupid, but its a priceless item. You can't put a price on a picture of people back in time.... I really treasure all my pictures I have.

UPDATE...
I got to work today and I had 2 out of the 3 pictures I turned in. I was flipped out. I thought well maybe they gave it to Susan because they assumed that it was her picture. WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL Susan said that she is taking care of it. I guess she is taking the pieces to a professional studio to get the picture back, in a professional quality. She told me "I figured your mom was pretty upset about it so Im trying to make it better" WOW.. yeah ya think?!?!? I think that her secretary told her how upset my mom was. She had no clue .... nore did she think about it. BUT yeah... I guess you can say she may have felt bad. *shrugs*
