    My DH is such a stick in the mud!!!

    I want to renovate the kitchen badly!!! We held off on our bathroom renovations because I cannot find a vanity and sink (I want a floating bowl) I like. So we decided to hold off on that until we find something we both agree on. Meanwhile our new jacuzzi tub and toilet is collecting dust in our solarium . So, I need cubpoard space like you wouldn't believe. Our kitchen is green, walls are a light mossy green and our countertops are forest green YUK!!!! So I mentioned to DH if we could get a few new cupboards to match the old and a new pantry plus new countertops and hardware. Plus our old kitchen set is falling apart and we need a new one (keep in mind that we have been together for 13 years so it's done it's time). He agreed to get a new hutch and tableset but refuses to renovate the kitchen!!!!!!!!!!ARGHHHH!!!! He says we should wait until we can REALLY afford to completely renovate the kitchen. Yet he wants to move in 4 years (when our mortgage comes due) and build. WTH!!! Why spend $40,000 on a new kitchen if we're going to move? Why not just update the kitchen and make it more modern and nice and not spend all kinds of money if we're not even going to live here to enjoy it!!! The next people who move in can decide if they want to redo the kitchen or not!!! I am sooo mad because I really want a change in there and my dad has even offered to come and help because Moe is so busy. He just doesn't make sense sometimes!!! MEN!!!!!!!

    Men....bah. LOL. We live in a trailer right now, and my DH is always talking about doing stuff to it, and I always say "JUST GET ME OUT NOW!!!!!!!!!" LOL, we're looking at building in the next couple of years too.

    Tell Moe he is being silly! Just doing some small upgrades will make his wife happy and make it easier to sell. I agree with you, why do so much in redoing it if you will only enjoy it for a few years.

    I hear ya Sylvie. I get so peeved when Yaron won't agree to what i wanna do! they should just listen and follow our lead when it comes to these things. but ITA just doing some minor updating instead of tearing the whole thing out is the way to go- especially since you're gonna be moving. It will sell better, and IMO the kitchen and bathroom are the two rooms buyers wanna love! Work on him a little more Sylvie! you can do it!

    My DH is a great guy but he has ADHD. He gets all these great ideas "I'm going to retile the kitchen today honey!!" So he runs out to Lowes, spends all this money on supplies and tile, wears himself out at the store, comes home, takes a break...and then 3 weeks later I put the supplies he bought and never used into the garage for a rainy day. Men!

    Oh don't you worry I am on him...I WILL win this battle!!! I may just end up doing it myself with my dad, darnit!!! My dad thinks he's being silly. He does this for a living and yes we've been renovating this house for 4 years now and we've put in a lot of money into it but the kitchen really needs some updating. I just want more room and new countertops and paint, I'm not asking for a whole lot GEEZ!!!!!!!
