Thread: Why Am I already Stressed!?

just breathe!! yes, they do weigh your luggage but each piece not whatever is inside the luggage (i think anyways) and my brother has had to pay extra money when it's been over the limit.. how long do you guys plan on staying in AZ? i wouldn't worry about it too much yet... just breathe! it'll all be over soon enough :-)

We'll be there for 6 days.

My question on the weighing is.. will they weigh like just my suitcase then djs car seat then his pack n play OR do we put all of our stuff on the scale and they weigh it as a whole.

they may weigh it as a whole, but double check with the airliner they should be able to let you know how they would weigh that stuff.

In my experiences, they weigh each item separately. I don't really remember having things weighed as much for domestic flights as international flights, but I am sure they weigh for both if the airline has regulations. Chill woman! It will all be fine!

When you put your luggage on the "counter" thingy - like when you check it in.. That's when it gets weighed.. So you don't even really no it's happening... And it is one piece at a time.. So one suitcase can't weigh more than 50lbs. If you're concerned about one, try weighing it on your scale at home to just get an idea...

I missed your previous post about coming.. Where are you going to be? I saw Amandas post about not being closer, so I'm going to "assume" Tuscon area ish...

Relax, it'll be fine.. And there are pleanty of Walmarts/Targets around if you do forget anything..

I used to work for US Airways. I worked there for 7 years. They weigh each piece sepretly. If it is over the weight limit they will charge you $50-$75. They don't usually charge you unless it is really over wieght. Atleast that is how we did it. You can also take your sons carseat on board if it is FAA approved. Which most of the are.

You are stressed because it's stressful to travel, esp with a small child. It will all work out perfectly!! Just make a list and you won't forget anything!!

I am going on vacation in 3 weeks, but we are driving. I am already making lists of things we need to take and get on our trip. I am always worried about forgetting something.

oohhh my list is my second child right now! You ladies have NO idea how much your helping me relax!! I do think its the point that flying is so stressful. im worried im going to bring something on the plane that i think is nothing and im going to end in jail! LOL.. my dh laughed at me about that one. SO good to know they weigh each thing sepreate. I think we may get away with not paying for anything. Eric even told me..."Stop Stressing.. you know Arizona does have stores!" lol. I just need to relax or im not going to be able to enjoy myself!!

We are going to visit with my FIL he owns a townhouse in Green Valley. I know we will be going to Old Tuscon.

You will do FINE!!!!! If I can get through a move across the world, lol, you can get through this!! Just keep your lists in check and BREATHE and relax. You still have so much time!!! Yes, make sure your carseat is aircraft approved! They didn't check mine in the states, but when we had to change airports in Tokyo, they made this huge deal about checking it to make sure it was approved!!! I know that all Britax seats are approved, and my evenflo triumph is also approved. Read the stickers on your seat, it's proly there somewhere.

BREATHE!! And don't bother bringing too many snacks and toys on the plane b/c you proly won't need half as many as you are thinking!!!

And yes, try not to stress about forgetting something...you can always buy what you need when you get there!!
